Huge roots can be seen, a bark house invites to a rest, a games tower invites children to climb and romp, an overdimensional wooden chime demonstrates the music in the wood and a boardwalk leads over mosses are amongst the attraction along the trail. A tree-stair with two trunks demonstrates how high a tree is. Enjoy a beautiful view to the Ruhestein from a pavilion, built by the "Die Alten Buben" ("The old boys") in painstaking work. The old nursery "Winterseite" (winter side) is the center and also birthplace of the trail. The last ten "Trees of the Year" can be seen here. The nursery is like a forest adventure playground, even with a small barefoot park.
The trail is suited for both young and old and equipped with lots of informative signs. It has no extreme slopes, so that everyone can handle the trail.
The best way to reach the trail is from the "Winterseitenweg" (winter side way), and is signposted from the "Haus am Wasen" onwards. Start and finish is at the "Heuberghof" where there are plenty of parking available.
