Hiking does not mean simply putting on your hiking boots and setting off into the wild. It helps you discover far more than nature itself. Baiersbronn also offers you, for example, culinary hikes: Guests gather edible berries, herbs and roots by the wayside, which are transformed into dinner delicacies by the hotel chef. Or you could treat yourself to an exquisite round of indulgence: dip your wearied feet in the crystal waters of a brook or lake, take a breath of the clear air and feel your tensions melt away under the pressure of a massage for your neck, shoulders, hands and face. Even culture enthusiasts get their money’s worth: they can rediscover forgotten centuries-old traditional guilds of raftsmen and wicker workers while hiking in Tonbach, to name one.
Baiersbronn is precisely this type of green oasis and is a point of intersection for countless hiking trails, which extend throughout the entire region. Over 500 km of marked trails lead through tranquil landscapes including five lakes and 50 mountains ranging in height from 450 to 1000 metres. Our holiday community thus includes one of the most extensive hiking regions in Europe. Visitors to Baiersbronn are able to participate in guided hiking tours, and can learn about regional botany, geology and forestry from forest rangers and lumber jacks.
Hikers receive personally suited, individually prepared hiking tours from local hiking guides here.
In Baiersbronn, at the heart of the Black Forest, a multitude of opportunities for a varied holiday experience are available to active vacationers, as well as those in need of rest and relaxation - in close proximity to home.
„Shall I tell you my most favorite hiking tour to our three lakes? It starts in Obertal-Buhlbach's „Aue" and leads along the Buhlbach (stream) up to the Buhlbachsee (lake). Across the main ridge of the Black Forest we then reach Zuflucht and finally Kniebis. From here on we turn around in direction of Baiersbronn and enjoy the nice view of the Ellbachsee (lake), and head on to the amazing Sankenbacher Wasserfälle (waterfalls) and Sankenbachsee (lake). From here we now go back to Baiersbronn. Try it for yourself!! You won't regret it!" Willi Seid, hiking guide Baiersbronn.
